Very disappointing week for me. I wanted this to be a big training week and act as a launchpad for the Whistler Alpine Meadows 55k in a couple of weeks. I didn’t get out for my first run until Wednesday, which I decided would be an easy 10k or so around Rice Lake. My knee wasn’t feeling great though, so I cut it a bit short. By the time I got back to the house I was in quite a bit of pain. Next run wasn’t until today (Sunday), so only two outings this week which wasn’t good at all. Unfortunately, I had the same issue with my knee. I was fine when I started out, but by the time I’d hit 8k or so, it was starting to hurt. I felt it maybe lasted a bit better this time, but as I was with Josh, there was a lot of stopping and starting and I didn’t run with the effort I usually would.

Oh well, next run will be on Tuesday, so I’ll just have to wait and see how I make out then. Hopefully I’ll see a vast improvement, otherwise, I may need to skip the Grouse Grind Mountain Run on Saturday morning.
