This was one of those evenings where I just really didn’t want to go out and run. I wasn’t feeling great, it was freezing cold and there was quite a bit of snow on the ground. Considering the conditions, I chose to take the easy option and stuck to another road run. I was scheduled to go 15k and figured a run out to Edgemont Village and back would probably be about that distance.

The run itself wasn’t too bad. There was snow and ice on the route, but it was easily navigable. I had decided to run in just a t-shirt and shorts. That was pretty cold. The temperature was, I think, just below freezing or right around freezing. It felt like the minimum temperature for being in a t-shirt only. I probably should have had something more substantial on, but certainly would have been in trouble if the temperature had dropped any further. Metabolic heat kept me somewhat comfortable, but stopping at traffic lights was a bit of a bitch. Jacket next time for sure, or at least a long sleeve merino top.

At the end of the day, I got the run done in a good time. The route came up short, but due to the cold and the fact I needed a Jimmy Riddle quite badly, I just ended it at a little less than 13k.
